What Size Dumpster Do I Need ?

Placing to estimate size of dumpster required ?

Evaluating volumes for waste recycling is an imperfect science. However, there are ways to estimate how much waste you have, and how much disposal is costing you, so you can evaluate its potential for reduction, reuse or recycling.

Evaluating your construction waste can be a challenge. This is due to the various ways it can be measured - weight or volume.ince drywall is far denser than cardboard, a dumpster full of drywall will weigh far more than a dumpster of cardboard. The following table presents useful Guidelines on material conversion factors to help you estimate your dumpster size needed.

(It has been adapted from the National Association of Homebuilders study.)

Roof’s are measured in units of measurement called squares. A square is defined as 100 square feet of shingles. A lot of experienced roofers can look at a roof and come up with a rough estimate of the amount of material that will be pulled off but the weight can be a tricky thing to figure out.

Example:
